Finer details were not missed when we designed the Defense Lux.  Within the inner TPU layer, you can actually see built-in air pockets that create a cushion when your phone experiences an impact. This layer compresses and absorbs shock as well creates a soft barrier from the metal frame that is the main structure of the Defense Lux case.  

The Defense Lux is constructed with large port openings so most accessories, even those designed by 3rd parties, can connect to your device. There are 4 main layers that are combined to create the Defense Lux's one-piece construction. The machined aluminum bumper protects your Galaxy from hard impacts dropped from 6.6 feet, while the soft TPU rubber lining softens impacts and creates a cushion between your phone and the aluminum frame. The polycarbonate layer surrounding the phone keeps your device free of scratches and dings, and lastly the luxurious back panel adds premium style to your phone.
